EFA's February Challenge Treasury

Happy Valentine's Day to all of our big hearted, animal loving artists. EFA is truly an amazing group of individuals that comes together over cyber space to work in many ways to help animals of all sorts. Thousands have been raised to help animals around the world through the efforts of our members, many who have never met personally.

The above treasury was created from the first 12 entries that were submitted for our February Challenge. It is a dream of mine to have 24, 36 or even 48 challenge entries so that more treasuries can be created to promote EFA's artists and cause. What would be even more splendid is if our 500 plus members could go to our treasuries and click and comment and make our treasuries the "hottest" on the treasury lists. If you are reading this on February 13th and 14th please visit the above treasury, click on the entries and leave a comment.

Thanks so much,
Lynn aka LolaLynn

Dotty the Luvbug by LolaLynn

Dotty was a very special girl. She and her brother, Spotty, another magnificent white cat, where originally my brother's companions. He rescued them and doted on them for the remaining two years of his life and they brought him tons of love and joy. They came to live with us shortly afterwards and were our link to Henry while we worked out our grief.

Dotty greeted me every morning with a "mew", then jumped up next to me while I had my morning coffee and logged onto Etsy. Her fur was silky soft and stroking it was comforting and calming. Looking into her blue eyes, I knew she was soulful and deep. I miss her terribly.

"Dotty the Luvbug" is a hand embellished print of my original ACEO. Each ACEO starts out as a copy of the original but then I over paint each card individually and add personal touches to make them unique.

50% of the purchase price of the work at LolaLynn goes to EFA's charity of the month. I also participate in special fund raisers as needed.

Pet Sympathy Gift Set by ScrappyRat's Shop

It's important to let friends or family members who have lost an animal companion know that we understand the depth of their grief. It's easy to feel alone when anyone close to us dies, but when it's a pet, not everyone we encounter will be as understanding as we need them to be. This is a small gift that helps them know that your compassionate thoughts are with them and their pet who has passed on.
The artist does her best to help animals as a foster for Carolina Pet Rescue and through her donations of handmade stationery items and copies of her cookbook for dogs, so they may use them for fundraising. She regularly donates to the vegan sample bags fundraiser for animal charities, among many others.

Don't be afarid to care
Leave but don't leave me"
Pink Floyd
The pendant has a picture of a bird soaring in the sky on one side, and the words "Come fly with me" on the other - the artist thought was that you should keep your memories close to your heart but not let them be a chain around your neck. 11x14 Peek-A-Boo Print by DanaCarol's Shop

This item is a 11x14 print of the original "Peek-A-Boo" painting. The original painting was inspired by DanaCarol's cat, Cal, who passed away from lymphoma last year. He was the first cat she and her husband adopted together and they miss him very much. Even though they've adopted and fostered several cats since, there will never be another Cal. She is the Vice President and a volunteer of the Beaufort Community Cat Project, an all-volunteer non-profit organization advocating non lethal methods to reduce the free-roaming cat population using Trap-Neuter-Return. www.beaufortcats.org
