White Dove to benefit EFA's Charity of the month - free postage wthin the US by Lolalynn's Shop

The peaceful dove sits patiently on her nest waiting to bring forth new life. Life is like that. Very often newness and new beginnings take a lot of waiting, patience and hope. I think of our 3 new granddaughters who were born in the last 3 months. Waitng during pregnancy. The patience it takes to care for a newborn and the hope that we feel when we encounter these little gifts from God. Our family has been a nest for Christine and Deborah, supporting them as they waited to bring forth these precious little girls.
50% wil be donated to EFA's
charity of the month.

Lynn coordinates EFA's monthly challenge and creates the EFA Challenge Treasuries.

Bird Nest Card Set by Thebluewindmill's Shop

This is the momma bird and baby chick surrounded by some watercolor paintings I did. These birds were in a tree outside my house and they had conveniently built their nest low enough so that I could snap their picture once I got out my stool. Thanks to Etsy patrons last month, I was able to donate 5 pounds of fish to the Marine Mammal Center during their yearly Dollar-a-Pound challenge. It is elephant and harbor seal pupping season between March and May and the center needs to feed approximately 400 seals so every dollar counts!

raspberry pink catryoshka family blank card by Kittyanydots's Shop

Cats + matryoshkas = catryoshkas! I combined my love of cats, the Japanese kawaii style, and the Russian nesting doll to create this digital artwork. 4x6 professionally printed image on 5x7 blank white card. The card is made of acid-free cardstock, labeled on the back; it comes with an envelope and is encased in a clear cello. The second and third images show an example of a finished packaged and labeled card.
I give a percentage of my shop proceeds (Etsy and PayPal fees not subtracted first) to charity each month.

Nesting Doll Owls- Set of 3 - Tall, Dark and Handsome by Savageartworks' Shop

This set is called "Tall, Dark and Handsome". The largest one is the Great Grey Owl (tallest in North America) then The Spectacled Owl (the dark one), and the smallest is the Snowy Owl (a very handsome owl). As nesting dolls do, the two larger ones come apart and fit inside each other, and the smallest one is a solid piece of wood, which fits inside them. It is sent to you in a cloth bag, similar to the last picture (but it may be a different colour)with an owl tag, and a little note to remind you what kind of owls they are.
The artist is a true animal lover, and has always had pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters. The shop donates a portion of it's sales every month to an animal charity.

Chauncey the Jellyfish Necklace by Kskjewelrydesigns' Shop

This jellyfish named Chauncey is in the nest of the sea. He was created as a reminder of how fragile our ocean life is, but also as a positive message of its resilience. The jellyfish shows us how to move in harmony with the natural forces of Mother Earth, the nest of all nests. It is said to symbolize faith and acceptance, and some believe that its transparent form holds the key to true spiritual knowledge.
The artist has spent her life rescuing animals, bringing in, caring for & finding homes for strays. Ten percent of all sales from this shop go to Bat Conservation International in hopes of helping their efforts in fighting white-nose syndrome.

It was an investment to treasure. They kept them safe like the avocet in a small discreet nest and paid continual attention to it.

Robin's Nest - Fine Art Print - 10x15 by Traceyhooping's Shop

We watched the robins build this nest and then, over the summer, hatch two batches of babies. I waited until autumn to rescue it from the katsura tree right outside my window. It's not as fancy as some of the nests I've seen, but I loved being able to observe the whole process from the upstairs window of my studio!
I support Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and I my home in Seattle is a WA state certified "Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary".

blue robin eggs in a nest belt buckle - THREE LITTLE BIRDS by Lonesomeroadstudio's Shop

Original artwork of three robin eggs in a cozy nest, in a cast pewter buckle. The artwork is protected with extremely durable epoxy resin. This piece was inspired by spring, and by the Bob Marley song, "Three Little Birds!" 5% of the purchase price of all belt buckles will be donated to a local no-kill animal shelter in the artist's area, Pet Project. In her county, there is no county animal shelter and the small no-kill shelters are the only way that these animals can be placed in good new homes.
