Baby Hare Beauty Soft Sculpture by dragonhouseofyuen

Please meet baby hare Beauty. Beauty is a very shy little hare with big brown eyes. She rarely speaks to the others and quite often her face will feel very hot from her blushing. However, rather strangely she likes to roll around in the flowers. Not just a little flop – but a big stretch and slither over them with wiggling on her back too. She is usually covered in petals and pollen from whisker to tail. And much to her chagrin she attracts a lot of attention! Never-the-less to immerse herself in flowers is to find true happiness and freedom from her hot face flushes.

Beauty has been made with great care and she has safety eyes. She has been machine and hand sewn by me and will have many ‘unique’ (imperfect, handmade) bits. However, she is not recommended for children and is not a toy. She prefers to sit on a shelf next to fresh flowers, maybe with a mat underneath to catch the dropped petals and pollen spores.

Beauty is looking forward to her journey to her forever home! She also wants you to know that baby hares are called leverets. She comes with a small tag telling her story.

Magnificent - Midnight Glory by Peylu

A digitally rendered image of our Night blooming Cereus aka Epiphyllum oxypetalum or Dutchman's Pipe.

A tropical cactus, it is best known for it’s large white fragrant flowers which open up at sundown and are gone by sunrise. One can actually watch as the large, many petaled flowers unfurl over the course of 2 hours following sundown. The blooms quiver as they slowly open up to their full glory. The flowers span 6 to 8 inches when fully opened.

Lace Angora and Soysilk Gauntlets by Lacewood

These elegant gauntlets fit this month's theme because of the delicate lace pattern that resembles basket weaving which frames the Victorian-era double rose leaf motif. For me, spring time is a time of renewal and new beginnings: I thought it was pretty easy to meet the challenge for this theme, I liked the idea of using a pre-purchased tote and helping to support my local organic market and at the same time supporting the May Charity.

My favorite charity is, of course, the Siberians at S*N*O, but I think it's important to help others too, so I'm planning on submitting a new item each month to benefit the different charities picked by efa. Saving the animals is so important and saving the planet is essential to all of us.

To quote Chief Seattle:"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect."

I have always been partial to the orchid not just because of the flower’s beauty but also because of the memories I have of it. Many years ago my father made my mother a member of the "National Orchid Society". She loved the orchid as she did all flowers. She used to get wilted plants and bring them back to life more beautiful that ever. I had to paint an Orchid in my parents' memory. I hope you like it.

Some Bunny Loves You by TheModDog

This adorable 1" traditional buckle collar screams SPRINGTIME! It features cute little white bunnies with pink tails sitting in the grass in blue, pink, or purple. The collar has a strong plastic side release buckle and a D-ring for attaching tags. All collars are triple stitched at stress points to prevent breaking and prolong durability.

What do hopping rabbits like? Carrots!

Treasure is everywhere; sometimes you have to dig around for it! "Buried Treasure" features four unusual varieties of carrots in their unique colors, shapes and sizes; the brilliantly reddish-colored slender "Atomic Red," the slightly stubby "Red Core Chantenay," the exotic-looking "Purple Haze," and the graceful "Touchon." The carrots' wispy white roots form curlicues and hearts, and their green tops reach for a bright blue sky. "Buried Treasure" illustrates the pleasures of growing our own food and reminds us to try some of the unusual heirloom varieties that were enjoyed before hybridized and geneticized produce dominated stores.

A beautiful handmade art-accessory bag of Wesley my albino lop rescue rabbit. He is wearing his favourite grizzly bears jumper with the North American brown bears. On one side is a raised padded applique of a grizzly bear profile with shiny golden safety eyes fixed into place under the applique. They catch the light wonderfully! On the other side is a detailed print of two very large brown bears standing in a prairie. If you lift the lop ear slightly you will see the face of the hiding bear - he is rather shy and has decided that Wesley's ear is the perfect place for concealment.

Bunny Rabbit Earrings by TheClayPony

Michele (mvegan5) first gave me the idea to use my animal figurines for earrings. These fluffy looking bunnies were handmade with polymer clay, printed images of my own drawings, acrylic paint, and are sealed with a shiny clear resin. They are hanging on silver plated hooks. Each rabbit stands just over 1/2" high and 1/4" thick.

You can find a matching bracelet in Lacewood's shop. Her bracelet is made with handspun yarn and two bunny buttons that I made specially for her.
