Our newest cat was living with his Arizona Humane Society foster mom (a customer at my real job), but all his sisters were called back up to the big leagues without him, so we got a free kitty! Technically, he isn't a shelter cat, since he never had to go down there, but I like to think he got lucky and skipped a step.

Ocean waves and the night sky....The colors of the amazonite and the aqua in the chrysacolla are very 'beachy'. This bright necklace is about 19 1/2 inches long including the gold plated lobster claw clasp. I hand formed the jumprings from leftover bits of wire.

Leather Stripes in Pebble Coins by Diggerbren's Shop

This necklace has a figaro-style gold plated chain and warm toned stones. The three calcite stones are mostly translucent white, cream and pearl colors, with beautiful brown stripes. At almost 1 inch and a half wide, you only need a few to make a statement. They're smooth, but they look like they have texture and depth. The center stone is clear enough to see some of the formations inside. The artist donates monthly to the HSUS, Defenders of Wildlife, and Alley Cat Allies.
