Fish Tails Collage by artchicnj

artchicnj loves collage and has been inspired by Eric Carle, who illustrates children's books such as 'The Hungry Catapillar' and 'The Grouchy Ladybug'. His influence as well as the artist's own techniques can be seen in this lovely piece.

I try to donate to my local shelter when I can. At Christmas I donate to S.A.V.E., a local animal rescue here in NJ.

Silver Starfish Necklace by envydesignsjewelry

Link
envydesignsjewelry, another new team member, is always inspired after trips to the Oregon coast! This necklace was one that was created just after I got back. It features a beautiful Hill Tribes fine silver starfish and HT wavy tube beads, sprinkled with lovely sea blue Chalcedony faceted coin beads.

I give monthly to Defenders of Wildlife, regardless of sales. I also give to Animal Legal Defense, because I believe that using the law to get things changed for the betterment of animals is crucial.

Play Day at the Beach Print by PawPrintsCouture

This sweet print by new team member PawPrintsCouture fits the June theme due to the fact that the pups are having a wonderful play day at the beach. This beautiful beach is located in Kiama, Australia. The fun day is coming to a close as dusk is just around the corner. However, they are still going full steam ahead!

I am a member of
Georgia Equine Rescue League and 10% of all sales from my shop go directly to this charity. I have been an active member for years and find this charity work so rewarding. I organized an auction for GERL's Octoberfest, which turned out to be the most profitable year in GERL history. I donated a giclee print of "Chacoa" which sold quickly and at a fantastic price. I very much enjoyed being involved with getting donations, organizing the auction and all the fun and fellowship that go along with it.

Beach Babe Tags by EllaQuaint

This beach babe on tags by EllaQuaint is the perfect image for those long dog days of summer.
You can picture her frolicking in the waves in her zebra stripe bathing suit.

Right now I am sewing dozens of little mice which I fill with organic catnip that I harvest from my garden. They will then be donated to the Humane Society to entertain the homeless kitties.

Shady Beach Cards by thoseparasoldays

Made especially for this challenge, these sweet cards by thoseparisoldays couldn't be more cool, featuring a cat in fun sunglasses beneath a beach umbrella.

50% of profit goes to animal welfare - split evenly between EFA's charity of the month and local charities in Costa Blanca, Spain.

I try to take care of the cats around my neighborhood on the southeast coast of Spain. Last week I teamed up with a German organization (Los Duendes) to sterilize cats and dogs in the area. We didn't get as many as we'd have liked to, due to many of them still feeding their kittens, but we managed a few and every little helps, right? :)

Father Sun Silk Tapestry Box by brizel4TheAnimals

Brizel Handcrafts presents Father Sun, a unique handmade round Silk Tapestry Box, made of recycled silk sari yarns, perfect for storing memory trinkets !

Father Sun is a divine soft fiber arts container, with a lid of its own, featuring silk sari yarns: variegated solar yellow paired with a rich buttercup yellow, and embellished with a vintage pewter metal sun button.

I don't know about you... but I prefer to have the sun out when I am at the beach... I love taking off my shoes and feeling the warm sand in between my toes... I love looking at beautiful reflections bouncing off the waters and listening to the waves crashing on the shores... that's my idea of a nice day at the beach.

***

I own some 20 acres up in the mountains where I have planted orchards and floral gardens. Personal funds are put towards helping to sustain this habitat which attracts birds, butterflies, bees, bats, hummingbirds... and it is also a seasonal mating ground for dragonflies ! Twilight is part of a 2,000 acre ranch out in the chaparral wilderness where wild animals still roam.

I provide a home for my animal rescues, create & maintain habitat for wildlife to prosper, support animal welfare through petition & animal advocacy work, donate 10% of my Silk Tapestry Box sales to EFA's Charity of the Month, and promote & support Team EFA members through Etsy Treasuries & the EFA blog. I am also Team Leader, Membership Leader, COTM Leader & Blog Admin for Team EFA !

The Deep Sea Dolphin Art Print by terikor

When I think of the beach I think of the ocean. One of the unique mammals of the ocean is the Dolphin. I am fascinated by the intelligence of the Dolphin and how they communicate. Therefore I chose the Dolphin to be my representation of the theme “Off To The Beach”.

The Deep Sea is a monotype by terikor showing four dolphins frolicking in the ocean. Monotypes are a form of printmaking whereby an original inked or painted image is transferred from a plate onto paper. Each print is a unique work and is not repeated. Monotypes are also referred to as hand pulled prints.

This medium enables my artistic expression to become more fluid and loose. By employing colorful palate in these works I have also added a new dimension to my art.

An integral part of my art is being able to donate a percentage to charities that help animals in need. I try to match the charity with the individual art piece. With all my sight hound art, I donate to my breeds rescue, Stola. My cat art donations go to cat charities and in the case of The Deep Sea, I chose California Wildlife Center because they assist coastal mammals and birds.

Albert the Albatross Print by Wysiwigs

This piece by Wysiwigs is printed on an environmentally-friendly photo paper that is completely tree free (it's made from stone, isn't that cool?) This sketch was done from a photograph of this little guy exploring his surroundings in some tall grass by the sea.

Proceeds go to Epic Farms. We are a Non-Profit organization on a mission to educate the whole planet (yep, all of it) about the amazing things we have learned about horses.

Sunshine Pug Cards by jessicalynneart

The sun is both beautiful and dangerous, giving us the gift of vitamin D and lovely weather, but also the threat of harm to the skin and eyes. These pugs know how to chill at the beach in style with their awesome shades and sweet pouts. This card set by jessicalynneart was designed to celebrate the splendor of summer and the June challenge of the month.

I am glad to be the Team EFA challenge volunteer who collects your monthly entries. For my furry friends, I donate $1 from every sale in my shop to the Pug Rescue of New England or the MSPCA. This month I will also be donating to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society in Springfield, MA, where tornados recently hit and caused major damage to the shelter. My rescue pug, Ringo, was adopted from Dakin last July, and we were sad to hear that the locally tragedy caused destruction to this wonderful shelter. No animals or staff were harmed by this disaster, but the building took a hit and all animals had to be temporarily moved for a few days. Hopefully donations will help to repair the shelter as they deal with repairs.

Kauai Card by ArtHelpsthePlanet

This is a painting by ArtHelpsthePlanet of a trip to visit my brother in Kauai; beautiful blue water- my dog wasn't there, but I painted her in as she should've been there.

I'm a professional artist using part of the income from my paintings and fellow artists' work to support the Sequoia Humane Society and Save the Tiger Fund. A very new project, so I'm just learning, but hoping to make it into something that can make a difference.

Polymer Clay Whale Necklace by CoutureClay

This necklace by CoutureClay is a reflection of every summer when Humpback and Minke Whales head back to the Stellwagen Bank off the coast of Massachusetts. The design was meant to remind me of the ocean, while the coloring reminds me of the beach. This item is also part of my donations as $10 from every purchase will be donated to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

I am a vegetarian, an advocate for animals, and the "mom" to two dogs. I donate to Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, The Story of Dao, and The Elephant Sanctuary of Tennessee.

Unraveling Print by AlexWijnen

Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. I love relaxing in the shadows of Haystack Rock, listing to the sounds of crashing waves and sea gulls. And even though I prefer a sunny day at the beach, I can definitely appreciate the moody, stormy days as well, such as the one depicted in this print by AlexWijnen! (good thing, too, since in Oregon that's mostly what we get).

Our two rescue dogs, Pogo and Tucker, sure seem happiest at the coast when they can run free on a wide stretch of sand (we only allow them off-leash when no one else is around).

I donate a portion of the sales of my dog illustrations to the Oregon Humane Society, which doesn't receive any state or federal funds but instead relies 100% on private donations. They do such great work: last year they found homes for over 11,000 pets! They also happen to be one of my off-Etsy graphic design clients (I design their quarterly newsletter).

Beach Combers Print by PoSHGallery

This print by PoSHGallery captures the beautiful simplicity of the beach's little wonders. I happened upon these beautiful flowers when walking along a beach on the island of Oahu.

I am a vegetarian, an advocate for animals, and the "mom" to two dogs. I donate to Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, The Story of Dao, and The Elephant Sanctuary of Tennessee.
