Black CatHeadband by jessicalynneart

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A bit romantic and entirely enticing, this Black Cat Headband by jessicalynneart is a gorgeous accessory for all seasons. Inspired by my own cat, Salem, the headband is hand-knit from soft acrylic yarn in black and adorned with a hand-crocheted cat face with knit ears, white eyes, and a tiny pink nose.

PRODUCT PRICE
$14.50

ANIMAL CHARITY DONATION
10% of the profits from this item ($1.45) will be donated to the Pug Rescue of New England

ABOUT THE CHARITY
The Pug Rescue of New England (PRoNE) is a charity near and dear to my heart, for without them I never would have met my little soul mate and muse. I adopted James Dean from PRoNE in 2008 and appreciate all that the rescue does to save abandoned, abused, and neglected pugs. This year alone their vet bills are already close to $30,000 and they have only made up about half of that amount in adoption fees. It is the least I can do to give what I can to help them find forever homes for the sweet puglets that come into their care.

Owl Headband and Dog Collar Set by jessicalynneart

This owl headband and collar set will surely get a few glances and giggles on your daily walks with your pet. I made James Dean the collar and envied his adorableness so much that I just had to make myself a human-sized version of the accessory. When it comes to our fashion senses, it is true that "anything goes," making this a fun fit for the August challenge.

At least $1 from every sale by jessicalynneart is donated to the Pug Rescue of New England or the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). I also enjoy donating card sets and collars to auctions that raise money for rescues. My current project is to raise money for the MSPCA's 2012 Walk for Animals. Anyone in the New England area is welcome to join the All You Need is Pug team and walk with us on Sept. 9 and all are invited to sponsor our team and helps us to assist animals in need. The money raised by the walk is used to fund the MSPCA's shelters, animal protection advocacy work, and medical facilities.

Tribal Headband by jessicalynneart

After making knit items just for pets for over 2 years, I have decided that humans deserve some pampering, too! I now create for both pets and the people who love them, and this boho-style Tribal Headband by jessicalynneart is one of the first pieces in my summer line. Its bright colors pop and its thin, braided texture make it perfect to wear while lounging on the beach or running errands.

Each month I support the Pug Rescue of New England and/or the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals by donating $1 from every sale to one these charities. I also donate knit pet accessories and stationery to shelter and rescue auctions to help them to raise money. Aside from my work with rescue efforts, I am a vegan who blogs recipes and promotes healthy living and I am also the challenge blog volunteer for our lovely team.

Snuggly Pet Leg Warmers by jessicalynneart

These cozy leg warmers are fun little accessories by jessicalynneart that keep pets warm and toasty. James Dean the Pug is always a bit sad when I leave for dance class twice a week. I could tell that he was envious of my ballet attire, so I made him some leg warmers of his own!

Each month I support the Pug Rescue of New England as well as the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals by donating $1 from every sale to one these charities. I also donate knit pet accessories and stationery to shelter and rescue auctions to help them to raise money. Aside from my work with rescue efforts, I am a vegan who blogs recipes and promotes healthy living and I am also the challenge blog volunteer for our lovely team.

Sweetheart Dog Neck Warmer by jessicalynneart

Dogs are lovers of a great many things. Whether it be squeaky plush toys, peanut butter cookies, belly rubs, or snuggling with their human family members, dogs genuinely adore life's little pleasures. It's evident that we could learn a thing or two from our pets who like to wear their hearts on their sleeves... or their collars, so to speak. This Sweetheart Neck Warmer by jessicalynneart is a charming and cozy reminder of the unique bond between animals and people.

Each month I support the Pug Rescue of New England as well as the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals by donating $1 from every sale to one these charities. I also donate knit pet accessories and stationery to shelter and rescue auctions to help them to raise money. I recently sent a hat to be auctioned for an organization that helps to build fences for chained dogs and to educate owners on the importance of getting rid of the chain and giving dogs the freedom and care that they deserve. Aside from my work with rescue efforts, I am a vegan who blogs recipes and promotes healthy living and I am also the challenge blog volunteer for our lovely team.

Creamy Caramel Dog Hat by jessicalynneart

Treat your dog to a warm, toasty winter and yourself to a laugh or two with the Creamy Caramel Dog Hat by jessicalynneart. Our "cousin," Doodles the Shih Tzu models her own caramel hat and enjoys talking long walks in the snow as it keeps her ears away from the cold winds of New England.

I am the Challenge Blog volunteer for Team EFA and donate $1 from every order in my shop to the Pug Rescue of New England, the MSPCA, and other New England animal shelters. Last month I was ecstatic to be able to donate $100 to animal shelters and rescues thanks to all of my wonderful customers on Etsy.

Black Cat Hat by jessicalynneart

Hark! Who goes there? This little creature is so strange that no one is sure what exactly he is. Some say he is a pug, others a black cat, but there are many who also believe him to be an incarnation of Batman. Could this masked vigilante be the one roaming the streets at night fighting crime?

This Black Cat Hat by jessicalynneart is a great way to allow any dog to show his or her feline or superhero sides.

I do anything and everything I can to help with animals. Running two small businesses while attending college has prevented me from doing as much shelter work as I'd like to, so I do what I can by donating at least $1 of every sale to the Pug Rescue of New England or the MSPCA. I also donate hats, toys, and stationery to shelter and rescue events throughout the year. Aside from that, I am the team's challenge blog volunteer who receives and posts all of your wonderful entries!

Piglet Dog Hat by jessicalynneart

I have always wanted to live on a farm with a pet pig like Wilbur in "Charlotte's Web". Since I couldn't have one, pugs seemed like a great idea. After all, they have curly tails, squished noses, and only one letter to their name is different. Now I can have both loves with this little pig hat by jessicalynneart.

I am the challenge blog volunteer for our wonderful team and I also donate to several animal charities. The rescues that I most often support are Pug Rescue of New England, which helped me to adopt my first pug, and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). I will be a vendor and walker with Team All You Need is Pug at the MSPCA's annual Walk for Animals in Newbury, MA on September 11. If you will be there, be sure to say 'hello'!

Cute as a Button Neck Warmer by jessicalynneart

This charming neck warmer by jessicalynneart is made with aqua and bright blue yarns and is embellished with a little dog button. These blue hues are remniscent of the colors of the ocean and sky, which reflect one another on clear summer days and create rich landscapes. The neck warmer is a great year-round accessory for dogs that allows them to have a bit of style without making them too warm or constricted.

I am the challenge blog volunteer for Team EFA who receives all of the wonderful entries that you send in each month. I also donate at least $1 from every sale to the Pug Rescue of New England or the MSPCA and avidly share my vegan lifestyle with others in order to promote awareness of the the treatment of animals and the importance of protecting their rights.

Sunshine Pug Cards by jessicalynneart

The sun is both beautiful and dangerous, giving us the gift of vitamin D and lovely weather, but also the threat of harm to the skin and eyes. These pugs know how to chill at the beach in style with their awesome shades and sweet pouts. This card set by jessicalynneart was designed to celebrate the splendor of summer and the June challenge of the month.

I am glad to be the Team EFA challenge volunteer who collects your monthly entries. For my furry friends, I donate $1 from every sale in my shop to the Pug Rescue of New England or the MSPCA. This month I will also be donating to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society in Springfield, MA, where tornados recently hit and caused major damage to the shelter. My rescue pug, Ringo, was adopted from Dakin last July, and we were sad to hear that the locally tragedy caused destruction to this wonderful shelter. No animals or staff were harmed by this disaster, but the building took a hit and all animals had to be temporarily moved for a few days. Hopefully donations will help to repair the shelter as they deal with repairs.

Pug Greets Spring Cards by jessicalynneart

The sweet cards by jessicalynneart celebrate spring in all of its loveliness and splendor! These cards feature a photo of James Dean the Pug encountering a freshly sprung bud among chopped wood. They are great to send out all sorts of fanciful messages to your friends, wishing them wonderful days as the weather grows warm.

I donate $1 from every item sold in my shop to either the MSPCA or Pug Rescue of New England. I also donate items from my shop to animal charities around the world to raffle off and make money for their shelters and groups. One of my rabbit hats is about to be sent off to this year's Bunfest!

I volunteer my time as a dog walker, when I am able to, and I am the challenge blog volunteer who posts your entries each month :]

Rainy Day Ringo Cards by jessicalynneart

Spring is here, and that means lots of rainy days ahead. Ringo the Rescue Dog is ready with his hat, coat, and umbrella as he graces these cards by jessicalynneart.

Ringo was rescued by my family from the Dakin Pioneer Humane Society in July 2010. You can read his story on the EFA blog.

I donate $1 from every sale in my shop to the Pug Rescue of New England or The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). I also give several items each year to raffles and giveaways that raise money for animal charities. I am also the challenge blog volunteer who looks forward to posting your entries every month!

Tumbler Toys by jessicalynneart

A house isn't a home unless a pet has his or her one favorite toy to rely on. I created these tumbler toys by jessicalynneart when James Dean began to tear through his toys like a little monster. When I adopted him he came home with me accompanied by one pitiful little elephant toy whose leg was falling off and whose eyes were hanging on by a thread. Poor "Elly" just couldn't go on any longer, and after buying several toys that JD tore through, I had to do something to keep him entertained and to keep me from running out to grab a new plushie every few weeks.

I pulled out my stash of polar fleece and made these toys with knotted edges instead of stitching. It has been over a year since JD started using his first tumbler toy, and it still hasn't been torn open yet. It has quickly become his favorite toy to toss around while he is playing with his brother, Ringo. I just love seeing him nap, all curled up in a ball, snuggling his tumbler. It's small comforts like these that make puppy life just a bit more special.

I currently donate at least $1 from every item sold in my shop to the Pug Rescue of New England (PRoNE) or the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). My favorite way to help animals is by blogging about my own dogs, shelter animals in need, and other pet-related posts so that others can share in my love and respect for animals. I am also the Team EFA challenge blog volunteer who posts all of your lovely entries each month :]

Matching Human and Dog Hat Set by jessicalynneart

This hat set by jessicalynneart shows just how special the relationship between humans and their companion animals can be. Normally the only individuals one sees dressed alike are young twins. The hearts of our animals are much like twins to our own hearts. We are incomplete without them, so we do all that we can to connect with them. These hats keep both you and your pup (or your cat, if your cat likes hats) warm so that you can snuggle up together in the cold weather and enjoy looking like the most adorable aliens around. This set is absolutely one of a kind, as I do not plan on ever making another like it!

I rescued my pug, James Dean, from the Pug Rescue of New England after graduating high school in 2008 and ever since that day I have become increasingly more involved with volunteering for rescues and trying to help people become more aware of the number of animals that need to be adopted. I currently donate at least $1 from every item sold in my shop to the Pug Rescue of New England (PRoNE) or the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). In my spare time, I am a volunteer dog walker for the MSPCA and I also volunteer my time at special events and fundraisers. My favorite way to help animals is by blogging about my own dogs, shelter animals in need, and other pet-related posts so that others can share in my love and respect for animals. I am also the Team EFA challenge blog volunteer who posts all of your lovely entries each month :]

Winter Wonderland Pug Cards by jessicalynneart

This greeting card set by jessicalynneart aptly fits the first challenge of 2011. When I saw that the challenge was for "Winter Wonderland" I laughed because that was the name that I had already given to my pug greeting cards! The set features a photo of James Dean the pug in his winter gear, roaming in the snow. The image is printed on matte finish white greeting cards and is a great little greeting to send in order to get people into the spirit of winter.

I have always loved animals and I wanted a pug since I was a little girl. As soon as I graduated from high school in 2008, I used my graduation gift money not for college textbooks, but to rescue a pug! I rescued James Dean from the Pug Rescue of New England and ever since that day I have become increasingly more involved with volunteering for rescues and trying to help people become more aware of the number of animals that need to be adopted.

Snuggly Pugkin Head Hat for Dogs by jessicalynneart

This item is not only a costume for Halloween, but also a celebration of fall in its entirety. Pumpkins are rich in the colors and flavors of fall, and this sweet little hat embodies the whimsical nature of autumn. Everyone needs a little pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, so why not have a hat that makes your pooch the talk of Thanksgiving, too?

My shop, All You Need Is Pug, creates items for pets and the people who love and cherish them. I am inspired by my own pugs and the animals that I encounter when I volunteer at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). This shelter is important to me because I get to interact with animals and help shelter sweethearts in a way that feels more personal to me than sending money along. I do also donate $1 from every purchase from my shop to either the MSPCA or the Pug Rescue of New England, which is the rescue that I adopted my pug, James Dean, from.

I have also donated one of my photographs to the Fabulous Animal Rescue Project, which uses artwork that artists from around the world have donated in order to create items whose profits will be donated to shelters. Several of my items have also been donated to pug rescues across the US to raffle off at events and fundraisers.

Beach Binoculars 8x10 Print by Jessicalynneart's Shop

A whimsical summer image captured at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. This 8x10 print comes unmatted and unframed. It is signed and dated on the back and will not have a watermark logo on the print that you receive. My shop All You Need is Pug is known for selling accessories and artwork that involves dogs, especially pugs. I am a college student who decided to sell her artwork to make money for college, but ended up becoming so wrapped up in animals that had to put their well-beings before my college tuition fund needs. I donate at least $1 from every item sold to The Pug Rescue of New England or the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The pug rescue helped me adopt my pug, James Dean, who inspired my artwork and made me see that my calling is to help other animals like him who need homes by donating money to rescues.
