Maine Motif Hat by knitbyvalerie

I made this hat for my shop after I made a version for myself and loved how it turned out! This hat by knitbyvalerie is striped and features a subtle motif of my home state of Maine. It's made from sport-weight sock yarn, so it's soft and squishy and perfect for fall.

I am the daily main blog promoter for our fine team as well as supporting local shelters with my shop. A minimum of 10% of all sales (both on Etsy and "in real life") is donated to a trio of local rescues, all of whom I have adopted from.

Knit Rabbit Beverage Cozies by knitbyvalerie

Want a cozy for your 12 oz beverage that can easily travel in your back pocket? This set of 4 from knitbyvalerie features the increasingly popular house pet, the adorable rabbit. Personally, I feel very strongly that rabbits belong in the home--and with these cozies, even people allergic to rabbits can show their love for them. Additionally, this listing also has a photo that features one of our dogs, Arwen. She is not for sale.

I promote the regular EFA blog every day through Yahoo Groups and on Etsy Teams. I encourage friends and family to adopt rather than buy every chance I get and have 6 rescues of my own, including 2 house rabbits and the above -mentioned Arwen.

Paw Motif Wool Scarf by knitbyvalerie

This red scarf by knitbyvalerie features not the traditional heart, but something synonymous with hearts for many animal lovers--paw prints! It is hand knit and has 14 paw prints down its entire length--a true valentine for any animal lover!

I am the blog promoter for the team as well as working diligently for local shelters and rescues that I have adopted from personally. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that February is National Adopt-a-Shelter-Rabbit Month! Yay bunnies!

Light Blue Cable-knit Fingerless Gloves by knitbyvalerie

These sky blue cable-knit gloves from knitbyvalerie remind me of the sharp blue sky of a sunny winter day. The yarn base is from a small batch dyer here in Maine!

I am the blog promoter for our team (you may have gotten an e-mail or two from me) and regularly support my local animal shelters through adoption, donations, and promoting adoptions whenever possible.

Hand Knit Owl Beverage Cozy by knitbyvalerie

Every farm needs a few barn owls! This listing features a set of four beverage cozies by knitbyvalerie, each with a subtle cable-knit owl motif.

Ivolunteer for efa as the blog promoter as well as doing whatever I can for my favorite local shelters, which are all listed in my shop announcement. My family currently includes 6 rescues (8, if you include the humans) and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Carrott Colored Rabbit Fingerless Cuffs by knitbyvalerie

These cozy fingerless gloves from knitbyvalerie feature a modified version of cable-knit rabbits that were found in a vintage pattern. Rabbits are very near and dear to my heart and February is national adopt-a-rabbit month (as decreed by the House Rabbit Society at rabbit.org). February also kicks off the Make Mine Chocolate campaign to keep people from giving live rabbits as gifts for Easter.

I have 6 rescues in my home and I have successfully encouraged friends to adopt from shelters. While I work hard for all homeless animals, my heart belongs to the bunnies!

Be Mine Hat and Fingerless Gloves Set by knitbyvalerie

This cozy hat and fingerless mitten set by knitbyvalerie was hand-knit with merino wool with a tight-gauge to increase warmth. Finger access is helpful for those who find that regular gloves are too cumbersome.

I have 6 rescues in my home and I have successfully encouraged friends to adopt from shelters. Until recently, I volunteered in the rabbit room at my local public animal shelter and am frequently educating people on the rewards of having house rabbits (rather than caged or hutch rabbits). I started my shop solely to be able to give more to rescues in an economy that would otherwise make it difficult for me.
