I photographed this little prairie dog in my neighborhood, where one of many urban colonies of prairie dogs struggles to survive. Thanks to Prairie Dog Pals, a local Albuquerque non-profit, they receive food donations (which they need to survive) and relocations (when their habitat is threatened).
Right now, Prairie Dog Pals is in urgent need of donations to help relocate a colony of prairie dogs that a church is threatening to destroy.
Thanks for helping me to spread the word. More info can be found here: http://www.prairiedogpals.org/news/index.html
Thank you ModJess for entering the challenge for July. I read the PDP blog which I found very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for featuring my pendant! I'm happy to report that the Prairie Dogs on the church land have been relocated.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm donating 10% of all Prairie Dog pendant sales to Prairie Dog Pals.
What a beautiful pendant! And what wonderful work for prarie dogs. Glad to hear that they were successfully relocated.
