Original artwork of three robin eggs in a cozy nest, in a cast pewter buckle. The artwork is protected with extremely durable epoxy resin. This piece was inspired by spring, and by the Bob Marley song, "Three Little Birds!" 5% of the purchase price of all belt buckles will be donated to a local no-kill animal shelter in the artist's area, Pet Project. In her county, there is no county animal shelter and the small no-kill shelters are the only way that these animals can be placed in good new homes.

"Bring me the sunflower crazed with the love of light." - Eugenio Montale. A bright and beautiful golden yellow sunflower graces the "Solar Power" belt buckle by Lonesome Road Studio. The original artwork is affixed to a cast pewter buckle that measures 2-1/2 inches by 3-1/4 inches (6.2cm x 8cm) and will fit either a 1-1/2 inch (3.8cm) or 1-3/4 (4.4cm) inch wide belt. High-gloss epoxy resin protects the artwork with an extremely durable finish. 5% of the purchase price of all belt buckles will be donated to a local no-kill animal shelter in the artist's area, Pet Project. Pet Project was previously located on an area property rent-free; however, they were forced to move to a new location and now have to pay rent. Many businesses in the Ottawa, Illinois area are raising funds to assist Pet Project with their new expenses and Lonesome Road Studio is a part of that effort.

This pendant is in honor and memory of the artist's sweet departed orange tabby cat Claude; he was a shelter cat and one of the best friends anyone could ever have. She misses him still. The artist is currently donating proceeds to Pet Project, a no-kill shelter in her area that has relocated to a new (and more costly) facility.

F is for - Free Spirit by LonesomeRoadStudio

I just started adding keychains in my Etsy shop, this will be the first of several. It's durable and lightweight polymer clay with mica pigments and protective glazes.

10% of the purchase price of "Free Spirit" will be donated to the EFA Artists Helping Animals charity of the month.

I still have plans in the works for polymer clay pet tags in the future; I'm still working on ideas for that project with proceeds to be donated to local organizations as well as Team EFA charities. I'm also participating in an event sponsored by another Etsy shop for December/Holiday No-Kill Animal Shelter Giveaways to help raise awareness and money for No-Kill Animal Shelters during the holiday season.

My Great Sunflower Project sunflowers are planted and growing (www.greatsunflower.org) as well as the extra goodies for Plant A Row For The Hungry. In addition to donating to our two local animal shelters, I have plans in the works for some polymer clay pet tags in the future; I'm still working on ideas for that project with proceeds to be donated to local organizations as well as Team EFA charities.

The luna moth, handcrafted in polymer clay then hand-painted in luminous shades of greens and teal accented with silver, is 2-3/4 (7cm) inches wide and 3 inches (7.5cm) long (including the stunning Swarovski crystal "flame").

What do hopping rabbits like? Carrots!

Treasure is everywhere; sometimes you have to dig around for it! "Buried Treasure" features four unusual varieties of carrots in their unique colors, shapes and sizes; the brilliantly reddish-colored slender "Atomic Red," the slightly stubby "Red Core Chantenay," the exotic-looking "Purple Haze," and the graceful "Touchon." The carrots' wispy white roots form curlicues and hearts, and their green tops reach for a bright blue sky. "Buried Treasure" illustrates the pleasures of growing our own food and reminds us to try some of the unusual heirloom varieties that were enjoyed before hybridized and geneticized produce dominated stores.

I am a new member of EFA Artists Helping Animals and a portion of the purchase price of some of my items (more to come!) will be donated to the EFA charity of the month. I am also a member of the Etsy Honeybee Helpers team, and I donate a portion of the purchase price of selected items to VanishingBees.com, a group working to promote awareness and research of Colony Collapse Disorder in the honeybee population.
