Celestial Spoon by Lacewood

I think this spoon fits the theme perfectly, as it is an image of a shining sun - stir a little sunshine into your cooking and brighten any meal or any kitchen!

I have been working to raise money through the sales of many items in my shop for Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue. They recently were able to raise the money to insulate the roof of their building to cut down on their air-conditioning bill, which is a great long-term money saver for them! They are in Florida where it gets pretty hot - and bunnies don't tolerate heat well, so air conditioning is a must! I am very proud of all of the work they have done in refurbishing their new shelter this year, and all of the bunnies they have found forever homes for! But as always, there is much more work to be done, and many more bunnies to help. They're doing a great job.

Angora Bracelet by Lacewood

This bracelet fits this month's theme because of the delicate lace leaf and vine pattern that wraps elegantly around your wrist, making a leafy bed for a scattering of glass and metal flower beads - a veritable flower patch for your wrist! And the corset style lacing at the wrist, reminiscent of basket weaving, makes this bracelet adjustable to fit a wide range of wrist sizes. This handknit bracelet is made with my own handspun angora and soysilk yarn.

This bracelet is 100% cruelty free! The angora in this bracelet comes from my own bunny, who is a house rabbit & lives like royalty. And soysilk is a byproduct of tofu, NOT silkworms. So you can revel in the soft luxury of this angora & soysilk bracelet with a clear conscience!

My favorite charity is Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue. The remodeling of their new facility is finally complete and they have just celebrated their grand opening!

Bracelet - Rabbits in the Rose Garden - by Lacewood

This lacy bracelet is so soft and delicate - and such a striking combination of handspun angora, silvery bits, glass, and handmade bunny buttons! This is truly a ONE-OF-A-KIND bracelet!

One of the things that's especially cool is that the bunny buttons I used on my bracelet were hand made for me by another EFA member, Stacie of The Clay Pony. She'll be submitting earrings of the same bunnies - so between the two of us, we're selling a matching set! How's that for a collaborative effort? I'm really thrilled with the buttons she made for my bracelet, and I'm proud of the results of our efforts.

I think my bracelet fits the theme very nicely - 2 bunnies sit in a green garden facing each other over a silver plated flower patch, surrounded by silver & glass roses. This bracelet "garden" is enclosed at both ends with gorgeous silver plated brass trellises. These two silver trellises create a garden gate on the inside of your wrist, gently tied closed with a corset lacing of delicately crocheted elastic for a perfect fit for almost any wrist!

What could be more emblematic of spring than a new green garden, complete with bunnies? And where there's bunnies, there's hopping... With this bracelet you can wear a little spring garden right on your wrist.

I'm especially thrilled with this month's challenge because it so obviously lends itself to rabbitty themes - and my charity of choice is Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue! In recent months they have purchased and have been renovating a new small facility for their operations, and very recently rescued 30 rabbits from a "collector" who could no longer care for them. Rabbit welfare issues are close to my heart because my own bunny is one of the most overprivileged rabbits on earth, and we are both well aware that many bunnies are not nearly so lucky. My bunny is an angora rabbit, and he helps me make the handspun angora yarn and lace items I sell in my etsy shop - including the yarn I used to knit this bracelet!

Two Beautiful Entries by a New Member - Lacewood

Love Pads on Four Paws - Wooden Spoon - I think it fits the theme really nicely, with pawprints intermingled with hearts on a wooden spoon. Well...love might not be in the *air*, exactly, on my spoon, but it's certainly padding about on four feet! And since the ground itself is not depicted, I suppose those pawprints are floating in the air...okay, I'm being silly now -- but I think it's a good entry and I hope you do, too.

Rusty Rose angora & soysilk laceweight yarn - a lace-lover's dream - deliciously delicate at 24 wpi! Perfect for your yarn-loving valentine, perfect for adding strikingly elegant lace trim or edgings, or for giving one-of-a-kind splendor to any project!

I think it's a pretty romantic color! Love is certainly spun into the yarn, if not the air. And since I couldn't have made it without the help of my bunny and his wool, it's a collaborative human-rabbit effort - so I think the animal theme is covered there. I hope you agree!

I live with one of the most overprivileged rabbits on earth, a delightful angora bunny who is litterbox trained and plays with my cat and romps about - and who also helps me spin beautiful yarn and knit lovely lace with his wool! He's got a great life, and many, many bunnies are not so lucky. So he and I are teamed up to help raise money for other less fortunate bunnies, with 10% of all angora items going to Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue. And we'll be adding other animal-themed non-angora items to the charity effort as well, just because -- this pawprint love spoon being an example of that!
