Mimosa by TheModDog

This collar is bursting with bright yellow and gold sunshiny goodness. Its whimsical 1" traditional buckle collar features a golden yellow and orange circle design on brown nylon webbbing. It also has a strong plastic side release buckle and a D-ring for attaching tags. All collars are fully adjustable and triple stitched at stress points to prevent breaking and prolong durability.

I volunteer for the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue (www.atlantalovesweims.org) in Atlanta, GA. I help out with adoption days, transport dogs, and also donate collars and a portion of my sales to this rescue. I also donate collars to other rescues, like Boston's By the Bay http://www.bostonsbythebay.com/

Orange YOU glad I had some Sun today 5x7 digital archival print by aktie9

This is a tiger lily blossom taken up close, with a macro lense on my digital camera. I have these in several other shades in my flickr account, for other options. Seek Aktie9 on flickr.

I donate 10% of sales from my etsy shop to charities. This summer I'm giving 100% of the proceeds on my Polar Bear photos to the ecotarium.org to help with the resident Polar bear, Kenda and her care.

I also do some work with rescues, getting the word out, passing messages along to folks. I fostered a dog for two years, I've given rides to dogs needing to get to safe havens. I have two rescued dogs, of my own. One I found on the city streets, one I adopted via http://www.occretrieverrescue.com/ .

I'm also pairing up with a person I met through the Plea for Bea Fund drive, and Facebook, to make a group on facebook, possibly elsewhere that rescue minded folks can join along with all the rescue organizations. This way the rescue people can get the word to the rescues, and rescues can get messages to folks who can raise money for them, send messages to their friends and so forth. It's a effort to get across helping others idea, and to make it easier for us all to network and band together. It will likely be called S.N.A.R.E AKA: SNARE - Social Networking Animal Rescue Ethic. It's still in the preliminary stages so I will defenitely let EFA know when we've got it up and running.

4 inch square Acrylic Cat Painting by haleyshandmades

This tiny cat painting measures 4 inches square and is 3/4 inches deep and is varnished. I used acrylic paints on canvas. The image is of my orange tabby cat sitting in one of our windows at our house with the sun shining in on her.

It's not necessary for it to be framed because the edges are painted a very dark brown and has a d-ring on the back to hang. If you don't like the look of the D-ring showing, you could tie a ribbon on the ring so that it is hidden while hanging.

I donate 5% or more to local animal shelters and rescues.

ACEO Desert Sunrise original watercolor by MyUnrulySun

My house faces a mountain range, and when I let the dogs out in the morning (before I crawl back into bed) I like to stay a minute and look at the sun peeking up over the mountains. I love how it looks like it's spilling "liquid sunshine" down the contours of the hills, like a river of light. This is my more colorful interpretation of that view.

This ACEO is pen and watercolor on matboard. This is an original, OOAK, not a print!

I co-run a non-profit called Feed the Beast (find us on Facebook!). We started out trying to foster cats, but we ended up keeping them rather than adopting them out, so now we sell products to raise money to donate to other area animal rescue groups and to fund emergency health care to stray animals. Example: my husband saw a dog who had been hit by a car sitting in the middle of the road. Everyone was driving around it instead of helping. So he picked up the dog and took him to the ER vet an hour and a half away and Feed the Beast was able to pick up the tab

Sunshine Fun Vintage Baby Animal Crib Size Quilt by faeriegood

I machine embroidered these wonderful vintage baby animal motifs, 9 in all with top quality Isacord threads made in Germany. There's a puppy, kitty, calf, lamb, kid, turtle, piglet, duckling and bunny. In all there are twelve blocks so some are repeated in different colors. The piecing for the quilt is done using many different pastel child prints of 30's all new reproduction quilt shop quality cotton fabrics. The backing is soft orange and creme print so it will work for girls or boys. Warm and natural 100% cotton batting was used for the middle layer. It has been machine quilted using meandering, stitch in the ditch and several different decorative quilting stiches, all done with nylon thread so as not to distract from the beautiful embroidery. The double fold binding was hand sewn for the best possible finish. It measures 52x38 inches.

10% will be donated to EFA's charity of the month.

Thinking Rhinos --Support the EFA July Charity by faeriegood

Made of thirsty 100% cotton terry cloth, this bright and cheerful bib has a cute Rhinosaurus machine embroidery that is sure to make your toddler smile. It has strong, ample ties to allow for growth, and no need to worry about velcro loosing it's grip with this one. Can be machine laundered and will hold up for many life times of use.It has been washed in eco friendly soap.

The material that forms the border and backing is a beautiful multicolored batik and the center embroidery depicts a lovely rhino scene and is framed in quarter inch satin ribbon to match the thread in the motif. They form a self fringe on the four corners for added interest and whimsy. The cover has a zipper closure and can be removed for gentle hand laundering and should be laid flat to dry and touched up with a cool iron for best results. The pillow form is 14" square and contains polyfil it was purchased new for this project.

I will donate 10% of the profit from the sale of these items to help Support the July Charity of the Month: Save the Rhino International http://www.savetherhino.org/ Save The Rhino International works to conserve viable populations of critically endangered rhinos in Africa and Asia. We recognise that the future of wildlife is inextricably linked to the communities that share its habitat. By funding field projects and through education, our goal is to deliver material, long-lasting and widespread benefits to rhinos and other endangered species, ecosystems and to the people living in these areas.

Beach Kitty by LolaLynn

Beach Kitty is a print of my original acrylic ACEO painting. Printed on card stock, each card is hand embellished with acrylic paint to give it that personal touch.

"Beach Kitty" was inspired by Rebekah's Japanese cat, Gumi. When Beka lived in Yokohama, Gumi miraculously turned up during "typhoon #17." He was beat up and cut and looked like a grey kitten. Some of her students helped her find a veternarian and then with the translation. What a surprise to find such beautiful deep auburn fur under all that dirt. He has a little knob on the end of his tail and looks like all of the other toms that inhabit Maita, a suburb of Yokohama. Gumi is fully Americanized now and hangs out with all of the other surfer cats at nearby Jones Beach.

10% of LolaLynn's sales (unless otherwise designated) go to EFA's charity of the month.

Turtles at the lake by tumbleweedstudios

This image was captured at a lake where there were about four turtles sunbathing, but my camera shied away two of them, so I ended up capturing the perfect couple, that was a great day! The image has a subtle digital enhance to it. Printed on a smooth fine art archival paper with (of course) archival inks.

I donate to the Irvine Animal Care Center, a local shelter where I have taken rescued cats in the past.

This is an ACEO Original Collage. Priceless Moments - follow Priceless on his travels thru life as he gives wise snippets of advice, discovers important attributes and goes thru all the yearning and desires that we all do. "One friend or many - the sun will always be shining!"

This little collage has been compiled from my illustrations of rabbits wearing jumpers, paper scraps and ephemera and recycled brochures and magazines. It has all been stuck with glue stick and double sided adhesive tape. Most of the papers go over the edges. The backing card is in black. Priceless has many more aceo adventures coming soon.

La Sonrisa Del Sol by LonesomeRoadStudio

One of my newest polymer clay pendant creations, stamped, hand-painted and embellished with markers, metallic pigments, glazes and gold-colored wire with an amber-colored glass bead.

10% of the purchase price of "La Sonrisa Del Sol" will be donated to the EFA Artists Helping Animals charity of the month.

My Great Sunflower Project sunflowers are planted and growing (www.greatsunflower.org) as well as the extra goodies for Plant A Row For The Hungry. Yellow Bird Collection - Set Of Three Pillows by TwoStrayCats

What could be more summery than brightly colored yellow birds singing their little hearts out as the sun comes up.

I am a fairly new member to the EFA team and absolutely loving being a part of such a wonderful group of like-minded people.

I have created select pieces that are in my shop section called EFA ~ Etsy For Animals where 100% of the profits go toward helping animals in need. I split the donations I make mainly between a cat charity here in Alberta Canada called The Happy Cat Sanctuary as well as the chosen EFA Charity Of The Month. I also donate 10% from all my other sales to animal charity.

Last month (which was my first month as part of the EFA team) I was lucky enough to be able to make a donation to both The Happy Cat Sanctuary as well as the June EFA Charity ~ for the rabbits and guinea pigs. Although in real life the kitties, bunnies and guineas would not get along, here in the world of EFA all animals are equal.

ACEO Siamese Cat - Fun in the Sun by WindandHoney

This ACEO is a picture of our beloved Mufasa, aka Fasa, enjoying the morning sunshine on the patio. He had a wonderful personality and lived to be 11 years old. Six of those years we spent much time each and every day doing various medical treatments to keep him going in the midst of a chronic genetic health problem. Between traditional medicine, alternative medicine, and lots of love and his own strong will to live, he had a happy life during those years. He is now enjoying the sunshine in heaven and we miss him terribly.

I have been involved in animal rescue in one form or another for most of my adult life. My current involvement is through fund raising with my art and the occasional creature that hops across my path demanding my immediate attention for rescue.

Bunnies in the Wildflowers Etsy Shop Banner and 4 Avatars by WingsDove

This design of wild rabbits playing in the wild grasses and wild flowers came to mind when I read about the July theme of "Sun and Summer Animal Friends." To me, this seems like a good fit for July.

Most of my contributions over the years have been to the Humane Society of the U.S.. I think the HSUS is accomplishing much in bringing animal cruelty out into the open and working in Washington, D.C. to pass laws to protect animals in the wild.

ModJess---Scrabble Tile Pendant---DESERT PRAIRIE DOG

An adorable Albuquerque Prairie Dog stands against a subtle background of cacti and sun to fit our July Challenge theme: Sun and SummerAnimal Friends.

I photographed this little prairie dog in my neighborhood, where one of many urban colonies of prairie dogs struggles to survive. Thanks to Prairie Dog Pals, a local Albuquerque non-profit, they receive food donations (which they need to survive) and relocations (when their habitat is threatened).

Right now, Prairie Dog Pals is in urgent need of donations to help relocate a colony of prairie dogs that a church is threatening to destroy.

Thanks for helping me to spread the word. More info can be found here: http://www.prairiedogpals.org/news/index.html

Butterfly T-Shirt for American Girl Doll by chicadolly

This is a cute little t-shirt with a butterfly embroidery that I made for 18' dolls. I think it fits the June bug theme perfectly. I am hoping to help promote EFA in this new shop and you may already know me from my faeriegood shop which was my first here at etsy. My 2 nine year old grand daughters were the inspiration for this new shop and I hope to branch out and add stuffed animals and other items, which will help the cause of new rescues that efa chooses to highlight in the coming months. Thanks for your support!

Jitterbug Earrings by WanderlustJewels

These fun little wire wrapped agate bugs are too cute! With their little brown bodies, and curled antennae the remind me of the June Bugs that used to congregate on my front porch when I was a kid.

I'm just starting out with EFA, but I already donate to my local animal shelter and the ASPCA.

Butterfly Thinking - Single Handmade Greeting Card by EnsorcelledMinds

How it fits the theme: I've started trying my hand at my own die cuts on my new electronic cutter. I had this Boss Kut butterfly design so I came up with my natural habitat to place it in on my own! 10% of this listing will go to the EFA Charity of the Month, so if you send this card to someone you are thinking of, you will also be thinking of nature and the animals!

About myself: This card can be found in the "Magic of Charity" section of my Etsy shop where I have various listings with a percentage going to animal charities. Some support the EFA charities of the month and some support S.O.A.R.: Southern Ontario Animal Rescue which is a charitable dog rescue in my local area.
