Vintage 1970s or 1960s NOS Invitations from anything70s

These vintage invitations from anything70s embody the lovely flower power of the 60s and 70s and complement the garden theme.

All proceeds from my shop support my Kittyville Charity for feral & special needs kittys.

10% of my proceeds go to a rescue or charity. Most of my sales from my wildlife pictures go to the World Wildlife Fund.

Daisy Daisy Acrylic Necklace by beckybutton

In my garden there is an abundance of daisies, just like the ones that appear on this cute necklace by beckybutton!

Baby Leather Ladybug Moks by scandeez

I see ladybugs in my garden often, which makes these moks by scandeez a nice addition to the garden challenge.

I donate 10% of my sales to a local Feral Cat group. 100% of sales from all of my paw moks go to SNIPSA, another local organization that believes in spay/neuter of dogs and then adopting them to good homes. Very wonderful group of vets and volunteers that save dogs from the streets, helps heal them and adopt them out.

Garden of Music - Hand Engraved Guitar Pick by ApacheMoon

This one of a kind guitar pick by ApacheMoon is fitting because it has a garden of flowers engraved on it.

We shelter 41 special needs animals here and also contribute to the local shelter, SPCA, and to WSPA regularly.

Herb Garden Boho Knit Scarf by susanneedlehands

This is the most garden-y item in my shop. The different shades of green in this scarf by susanneedlehands range from sage, rosemary and mustard, to lemon balm, reminding me of the plants I would like to grow in an herb garden someday when I have a yard!

Chiefly, she donates her art to animal- and environment-related fundraisers and donates a portion of her proceeds to animal-and environment-related causes. Jennifer has pledged specifically to donate a portion of her proceeds to the Team EFA Charity of the Month in any month in which she is able.

Violet and Red Flowers on Beige Dog Collar by ShortcakeDesigns

This collar by ShortcakeDesigns is especially unique as it is made from a reclaimed women's dress shirt. You can even find some of the original beige stitching left over from the original shirt! The wonderful flower and vine pattern of this fabric remind me of harvest time in the garden. I just love this collar because while you give your furry friend a new look you also recycle, reuse and help provide for homeless animals!

All profits from the sale of this collar will be given to
Team EFA charity of the month. 10% of sales from all other items in my store are donated to local and or national animal rescue organizations, such as the Iowa City Animal Center and the National Mill Dog Rescue.

Tweet Tweet Dog Collar by FourPawsJewelry

This cute collar by FourPawsJewelry is made from bright aqua cotton fabric embellished with large fanciful pink and white birds. Flowers separate each bird and add to the fanciful theme that complements May's garden challenge.

I help my favorite local charity Cat Adoption Team (CAT) which finds forever homes for unwanted or abandoned cats and kittens by donating a portion of my sales to them.

Poppy Watercolor Painting by ThimbleSparrow

Poppies are such lovely little flowers. This sweet painting by ThimbleSparrow would give a touch of charm to your home or would be a wonderful gift for a dear friend.

Silver Butterfly Crysalis Necklace by envydesignsjewelry

A butterfly flits about the garden on this necklace by envydesignsjewelry.

I give monthly to Defenders of Qildlife, and also give 5% of my monthly shop sales to other charities, including Feral Cat Coalition, ASPCA and Animal Legal Defense Fund, among others. I have donated to animal charities since I was in high school.

Gold, Cream Butterfly Charm Bracelet by JewelryByScotti

We recently had several lantana bushes planted in our yard. These lovely shrubs are known as "butterfly bushes" because they attract butterflies. I decided to enter this Butterfly Charm Bracelet by JewelryByScotti in the monthly challenge for that reason.

My work for animal charities consists largely of regular donations to the Humane Society of Central Illinois (where I used to volunteer), Wolf Park (Battle Ground, Indiana), Big Cat Rescue (Florida), the Snow Leopard Trust, Defenders of Wildlife, and The Elephant Sanctuary (Tennessee). I also travel to elementary schools to share what I know about wolves and big cats, based on the two children's books I wrote on those subjects.

Cats in the Garden Aline Skirt by catcalls

What cat wouldn't want to be in a garden in May! Lots of fun critters hang out there to entertain a kitty! I love the fabric of this skirt by catcalls because of all the cute kitties and wish all cats had a fun garden like this to play in.

Hummingbird 8x10 Print by CorinaStMartinArt

Hummingbirds and gardens are like peanut butter and jelly, except we don't eat them!  This print by CorinaStMartinArt is a lovely example of the animal life found in spring gardens.

My donations lately have been going to medical emergencies for dogs in severe need. Various shelters receive funds.

Bluebird Garden Painting by KneeDeepOriginals

Bluebird Garden by KneeDeepOriginals features one of the many birds who visit my yard and garden. We have a bluebird house on a corner post in our garden which is inhabited by a nesting pair this year. They fly in and out, sit watch in the pear tree or on a nearby post, as the chickens wander below, throughout the garden. I'm an avid bird watcher, as is quite noticeable when you visit my shop, and I make sure to feed them and provide water for them year-round, and especially throughout the winter.

Five percent of the sale of this item will be donated to my local Humane Society... a very active and important organization for animals in our rural county.

Purple Simplicity by terikor

I love working in my garden especially in the spring when the flowers are just beginning to bloom. One of my favorite colors is purple and the flower depicted in Purple Simplicity is one of the purple daisies that adorn my front yard. You will find various shades of purple in both the front of my home and in the back yard. There are purple roses, flowering vines and ground cover with tiny buds of purple flowers.

Purple Simplicity is a Monotype by
terikor that depicts the simplicity and beauty of this single flower. This hand pulled print is framed and double matted with a hint of green border.

The charity I choose as the beneficiary of a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this flower monotype is the Etsy for Animals Charity of the Month, Ratbone Rescue.
