We saw this lovely duck family gliding on a local lake a few weeks ago. Once it was safe for the ducks and the other aquatic birds on the lake, my grand-dog Sam jumped in for swim. Early summer fun!

I support animal causes and charities through advocacy, volunteer work, and donations. I donate proceeds from my Etsy sales from sue8261 to Animal Rescue Corps, as well as to our team's charity of the month. I also donate jewelry and note cards to our local humane society for sale in their gift shop.

I own some 20 acres up in the mountains where I have planted orchards and floral gardens. Personal funds are put towards helping to sustain this habitat which attracts birds, butterflies, bees, bats, hummingbirds... and it is also a seasonal mating ground for dragonflies ! Twilight is part of a 2,000 acre ranch out in the chaparral wilderness where wild animals still roam.

My volunteer work is focused around birds - I am working with experienced rehabbers and getting a permit to help rehabilitate wild birds in my area.

Aside from my work with rescue efforts, I am a vegan who blogs recipes and promotes healthy living and I am also the challenge blog volunteer for our lovely team.

What is more fun than 2 dolphins playing in the ocean under the summer moon? They jump and play in the glistening, still water in the cool nighttime air under the moon light! This is one of my unique, 2D wood pictures by sunnypines and would be a great addition in a sunroom, child's room, or even the bathroom.

10% of my sales this month will go toward the Geauga County Rescue Village in Ohio. They are in much need of help after acquiring several animals from a local home involved in a horrible tragedy.
