Robin's Nest - Fine Art Print - 10x15 by Traceyhooping's Shop

We watched the robins build this nest and then, over the summer, hatch two batches of babies. I waited until autumn to rescue it from the katsura tree right outside my window. It's not as fancy as some of the nests I've seen, but I loved being able to observe the whole process from the upstairs window of my studio!
I support Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and I my home in Seattle is a WA state certified "Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary".

Daisies - Catnip Toys - set of 2 by Missminoes' Shop

These bright pink flowers are filled with catnip. In between those spring sunshine naps they provide for some enthusiastic feline playtime. Set of 2 handmade crochet cotton cat toys, in the shape of a daisy. The balls are about 1.5" (3.5 cm) and filled with catnip wrapped in cotton fabric for sturdiness. Cats love the smell of catnip. On other items 50% go to animal charity. Either to the same animal shelter or to the charity of the month. This months charity (Animal Ambulance in Alphen) was her choice.

Kafir fig. Original coloured pencil drawing by Kraftikats' Shop

Beautiful, sunny, daisy like flowers of the Kafir Fig or Hottentot Fig as it is also known. An original watercolour pencil drawing drawn on grainy Fabriano paper and as this plant grows low and spreads like a carpet it lends itself to this rather stylised image quite well. The artist looks after her horde of animals although sadly, 3 of her 10 indoor cats have left them recently. I suppose they have their own little destinies too but it´s painful nonetheless. The 3 outdoor cats are still doing fine and enjoying the better weather!!

Yellow Visitor by Humanecreations' Shop

Every year I plant a Butterfly/Hummingbird garden and it is such a thrill when the sun is shining, the first flowers bloom and the first little guys find them. Mixed media- gold lock chain and fake purple shag fur. The contrast between the shiny smoothness of the chain and the purple jumprings and purple fake fur is really fun! The artist's chosen charity is Fundacion MONA (www.mona-uk.org), they are an amazing organization that saves chimps from the entertainment industry in Europe. Jane Goodall is a big fan of MONA as it very naturally recreates wild surroundings and social groups. 50% from the sale of this necklace will go to help the chimps at MONA!

Adrift - Fairytale Print by ThoseParasolDays' Shop

This was originally made for Illustration Friday's prompt "Adrift" and the inspiration for it was Jon Blund(Swedish), or The Sandman as he's known to the English-speaking world; the story goes that he carries two umbrellas - an ordinary "empty" one for the naughty children and one for the good ones that's filled with wondrous images on the inside. He induces sleep by dripping warm milk into their eyes. I work with the feral colonies in La Mata, Spain, entered the recent To Happy Vegans Tombola and hope to participate in upcoming Vegan Craftsamples!
