Dias de los Meurtos Tote Bag by Astridnicoleetcetera

This is covered with skulls, making it very qualified for being scary! Tradition is rich in Mexico as they celebrate life while honoring their ancestors during the celebration Dias de los Meurtos. We celebrate, too, and offer this rich traditional folklorica print in a roomy and sturdy tote bag. Measuring 18" wide and 14" high, there is a handy exterior pocket. For almost three years now, we have had a shop on Etsy. We donate 100% of the net profit to my dog's shelter, the Santa Cruz Humane Society in Nogales, AZ. Mostly, we sell dogs bandanas and are just beginning with pretty collars and other items.

There is a safety in numbers - card set of four by Thoseparasoldays

In the right light, shadows turn into creatures of their own..... "Shadows" Separated and blinded, they crept, uneasily, reaching for one another" 50% goes to animal welfare - split evenly between EFA's charity of the month and local charities on the Costa Blanca, Spain. I work with the feral colonies on the Costa Blanca in Spain - the latest good news was the re-homing of no less than three kittens into the same family! :)

Blue Shark Pendant by jfillustration

It's a play on people's fear of sharks. Many people unjustifiably fear sharks when sharks have more reason to fear people considering a 90% decline of shark species due to human activity, such as finning.
My most recent project was making portraits for a newly opened local donkey sanctuary where I live. Copies of the portraits will be used for their donation packs.

Night Mare Halloween Notecard by epicfarm

HEY LOOK - It's an EEK-quine...This handcut silhouette of a night mare (heh heh heh) comes with grinning skulls and some of 'dem bones (brr :o) It seemed appropriate that her mane be standing on end in terror and honor of this spooky occasion. Silhouette is mounted on bright orange paper (what else?) and flanked by filmstrip cutouts backed in black for a little added pizzaz. We are a small family run non profit with a variety of horse related programs for families and small groups in Southeast Alabama. 100% of the proceeds from the sales in this shop are donated back to the farm in support of our equine residents.

Dangle Spider Halloween Card - Black and Red Glitter by fairycardmaker

SPIDERS ARE SCARY! While I like them in the remote corners of my house to trap any of the other buggies that might have snuck in, they are still scary to me! This handmade paper die cut spider is my original design and the scariest things I've got. It doesn't even need a lot of "dressing". The way the spider is loose dangling on the page by its white paper string web line is spooky enough, I think!
20% of the proceeds of this card goes to support the Southern Ontario Animal Rescue (SOAR). This rescue arranges the foster care and adoption of dogs and is 100% run by a small handful of volunteers. The card workshops I run are mini-fundraisers for this charity. Most workshops generate enough funds for a microchip for a dog or a month of food for a foster family.

Spiritus Mundi, 8x10 Fine Art Print by thebluewindmill

"Spiritus Mundi" A couple translations of this Latin phrase are "World Soul", "Spirit of the World", and "Inspired World". I took all the pictures myself and fused them. The eyes are from a DaVinci-based painting I did, which I titled "The Protector". I serve as challenge promoter for the EFA team, donate to a variety of animal charities, and have written some blog articles for our EFA blog in support of Defenders of Wildlife and have done some paintings to help them out with donations!!!

Fair Isle Cowl Scarf with Removable Flower Pin by Purpleandlime's Shop

Stay warm and look fabulous this coming autumn! So I took a Fair Isle sweater that I loved but was too small on me, repurposed it...and voila! The material is in the prettiest shades of: turquoise, purple, cream, and green. The fabric consists of: 35% acrylic, 28% nylon, 20% lambs wool, 12% rayon, and 5% angora rabbit hair (whew!). The cowl measures about 28" around and 6" high. The scarf is slightly asymmetrical in the way that it's been cut and the edges sewn up.
For the month of September 15% from this sale will go to help the rescued chimps at MONA in Spain (http://www.mona-uk.org). They save chimps and other primates that were in private homes or the "entertainment" industry.

Cat Tote/ Handpainted by Catcalls' Shop

This original design art tote was created entirely from recycled materials. The denim was painted with acrylic, the cat was cut from heavy cotton then painted, stitched and appliqued on as were the letters. The inside and handles are made from purple and lime flannel. Two pockets were sewn to the interior. It is finished with a clear acrylic spray. This is a very sturdy and durable tote.
I am a regular supporter of my local humane society through cage sponsorship and will be participating in their annual fund raiser dog walk on Sept. 19th. I hope to raise a good amount through the raffle I will be holding. I can't wait! 10% of this sale will go to Defenders of Wildlife, the Etsy for Animals Charity of the Month for September.

Itty Bitty Chestnut Chicken - Hand Knit Organic Cotton Little Red Hen by Yarnmiracle's Shop

Itty Bitty Chestnut Chicken was made with from the Chestnut Fox's leftovers and is stuffed with extra independence for no extra charge. I almost didn't have enough yarn, so she's got a fashionable two-tone tail. Chestnut Fox (and the OutFoxed Pattern) are my COTM representatives for September and Defenders of Wildlife. Since I'm working on a new Chestnut Fox, are more Little Red Hens in the future? Maybe...and maybe it'll be Itty Bitty Foxies this time around. You never can tell with scraps.
Besides COTM, my focus today is on my personal Cat Rescue and Preservation Program. William Henry, our youngest formerly feral kitten, keeps getting himself locked under the kitchen sink with the garbage can. While this is a Dream Come True for William Henry, it is a less than ideal situation for me.

Sunrise baby blanket- Created for Team efa September Scraps challenge by Silverbeatshop's Shop

The whole blanket--the binding, the batting, the patches and the back were all scraps from a rainbow-colored queen-size quilt that I'm THIS close to finishing for myself. I have been selling on etsy for a few months, but I only recently joined team efa and this is the first monthly challenge I've done. Like everything else in my shop, 15% of the purchase goes to the Oswego County Guinea Pig Rescue [http://ocgpr.blogsopt.com ], a Cavy rescue/sanctuary that is local to me. The woman who runs the rescue, Jennifer, has over 30 piggies in sanctuary/hospice care.

Pet Pillows by Barkingdogblanket's Shop

I use the left overs from my blanket fabrics and the batting to make these washable/dryable pillows for your favorite furry friend. I used to spoil Rockie and she loved her pillow and every night would jump up on the couch and snuggle on top of her blanket and rest her head on her pillow. I was tired of her using my living room pillows. Not for dogs that are chewers!!
Our local Hawaiian Humane society is having their annual fundraiser in October called the HHS PetWalk. I am Team Captain for our BarkingDogBlanket team our goal is $300 which will include 10% of all September sales, a garage sale and donations.

Brizel, aka Nicole, owns some 20 acres up in the mountains of no. Cal where I have planted orchards and floral gardens. This habitat attracts birds, butterflies, bees, bats, hummingbirds... and it is also a seasonal mating ground for dragonflies ! Twilight is part of a 2000 acre ranch out in the chaparral wilderness where wild animals still roam. I work to provide a safe loving home for my animal rescues; I participate in EFA's COTM program when I can; and am the Blog Mistress for EFA's main blog.
