BarkingDogBlanket Medium HelloKitty BabyDragons Recycled fabrics by Barkingdogblanket's Shop

Hello Kitty flying through the air on her favorite unicorn surrounded by puffy white clouds. This blanket is made with reclaimed fabrics never used but picked up at garage sales. I loved the whimsical nature of both the baby dragon, Hello Kitty and unicorns. About me, member of EFA and AOE and huge supporter of animal rescue groups. I volunteer at our local Hawaiian Humane Society & OahuaSpca - Dog Walker, kennel cleaner and recently fostered a 7 year old Australian Cattle dog 'Mana'. Had lost my sweet Rockie girl (and inspiration for my blankets) in October but not ready to get another pup yet. Got the call for emergency foster homes needed for one week, went to pick up my foster dog and who do I see but Mana - a Cattle Dog like Rockie, a female and 7 years old. Fostering lasted 2 days and we adopted her on the third day. Didn't think I was ready but she is healing my heart with each day.

Teal Skies Silver Ring by Littlestudiojewels' Shop

This is sweet, yet sort of Steam Punk all at the same time. It's great for the office, or a sexy night out! I used sterling silver wire to make a comfortable shank, adding a teal Swarovski crystal to the center. I then coiled more sterling silver wire around the base wire and added 2 clear Swarovski crystals to the outside of the teal bead, coiling the remainder of the wire on the sides. The result is a coiled ring that is pretty, yet different. You could keep it shiny, or allow it to patina and darken naturally, giving it a worn look for a more "Steam Punk" style.
This is about a size 6-1/2, but I can make it in another size if you need it. I can even make it with different beads, or in copper or 14karat gold-filled wire, convo me before purchasing for details.

When (Guinea) Pigs Fly Set of Five Cards by Scrappyrat's Shop

When I saw the theme, Look to the Skies, I couldn't resist making some guinea pigs flutter up! Little pink wings take these guinea pigs on a flutter around the yard! The guinea pigs have been stamped, then I watercolored them by hand. Can't you just imagine the sound of their "Wheek Wheek" calls as they zoom through the air? In my etsy shop I have many items designated as charity benefit items with all the money I make from those particular items going directly to the EFA Charity of the Month. I am practically always working on items for rescues and other animal charities who contact me and ask that I make things for their auctions or other fund raisers. (I'm attaching a pic on one I just finished the other day for Second Chance Pet Adoptions.) It's something I really enjoy doing for these groups that request my items. I am also a foster volunteer for Carolina Pet Rescue (http://www.cpr-nc.org). I foster rodents and other small animals. Attached is a photo of Carrot, my most recent "graduate" who was adopted a few days ago. I think she's one of the cutest hamsters I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot because all hamsters are pretty darn cute to begin with.

8x10 Photograph puffy white clouds purple flowers by the water by Aktie9's shop

This is my fav photo of the sky since it is so soft looking, and intriguingly warm. It's what I consider "relaxing art" something that makes you comfortable and relaxed. I often look at photos to calm myself when I'm stressed & it really works well, especially of the skies or nature. I have lots of other photos of the sky, as it's one of my fav subjects to shoot. My husband rolls his eyes whenever the sun sets, as he knows I'll he beaded out the door, looking for the next beautiful view to capture. I want to get as many of them as possible. I think of making a book or zine of them soon, sometime. I wanna show the people more of the natural world, so they will care for it better. It's my life goal. Get folks to change their minds and take better care of the earth.
For the rest of the month in my shop. ***25% of sales for the Month of August is going to the EFA Charity of the Month. See our website here: http://www.efaartistshelpinganimals.org/ In addition *ANY* animal item in this shop is a 100% donation to the COTM also. This month I won the choice of charity. I chose Winslow Farm Sanctuary in Norton Massachusetts! See their site here: http://www.winslowfarm.com/*** I also always have some sort of a deal going on. It might not be advertised on the shop heading, to get announcements & BOGO sales please follow me on FB,http://www.facebook.com/3AmArtPr, or my www.3amart.blogspot.com site.

Itty Bitty Pelican - Hand Knit Organic Cotton Limited Edition Toy to Help the Gulf Coast by Yarnmiracle's shop

He's a bird, so it seems like he fits the "Look to the Skies" theme perfectly - what with all the powerful flying and diving and scooping up fish. This particular pelican won't fly as high as his wild cousins, but if you toss him up in the air, he will do his best to *imagine* soaring through the sky.
Since it's very beginning, my shop has been a way for me to support the rescue and adoption efforts of our local Humane Society. For each of my hand knit Companion Animals or Itty Bitty Playsets that sells, I donate $5 directly to Baldwin Animal Rescue. We also foster animals through that organization and help with adoption events as we are able. That happens less now that I have a toddler with a naptime smack in the middle of most adoptions, but I can at least still offer financial support!

Handmade Collage Pendant Glass Starlight Dream and Delicious Sensations by Whskr's shops

The woman on this romantic pendant is looking towards the sky. It's a vintage picture from a book and I thought it was a perfect match for the theme. It measures 1 x 2 inches or 2.5 x 5 cms. approx. carefully applied to high quality crystal glass with a bevelled edge. At the moment I am helping a friend d'Artagnan Rumblepurr to raise funds for SPCA and Cats Protection here in New Zealand and sell pendants in my store with 100% to either EFA COTM or a local charity in need. I also promote charities in need on Twitter and help out sharing on Facebook.

Handmade Knit Wrap - Straw and Sky by susanneedlehands' shop

"Look to the Skies" the hints of gold are like a majestic eagle and the blue and white are like a beautiful, wide expanse of sky with little puffy clouds in it. The criss-cross design also makes me think of a bird's wings, emanating out from its body, so powerful and graceful, as it flies through the sky.
I am actually a full-time middle school teacher, so I mostly work with 11- and 12-year old human animals! I do have 2 rescue kitties, one of which was featured by Michele last month or so (Noah). I also would LOVE to be able to donate all proceeds from any items sold on Etsy to the team charity of the month to be able to help more animals and organizations in need.

Happy Chickens--Set of 5 Cards and Envelopes by scrappyrat's shop

I was inspired by International Respect for Chickens Day to make this set of cards featuring chickens and butterflies. Matching chickens with a symbol of freedom reflects my hope for a world where these birds can be free to spread their wings, interact freely with others of their species, and be valued as individual beings.
I have a large selection of EFA Charity of the Month designated items. I also work as a foster volunteer for Carolina Pet Rescue, helping care for small animals like rats, hamsters, chinchillas, etc. depending on where I'm needed. On special occasions, such as world rat day, I also do 50% days when I not only donate 100% of the charity items to EFA, I donate 50% of the sales of all my other handmade items to a designated animal charity.

A whimsical summer image captured at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. This 8x10 print comes unmatted and unframed. My shop All You Need is Pug is known for selling accessories and artwork that involves dogs, especially pugs. Mermaiden 9x12 Original Oil Painting by Throughtheforest's Shop

This lovely mermaiden lives in the sea and plays by the sea! This listing is for my original oil painting titled, "Mermaiden". The piece is painted on a 9x12 inch staple-free stretched canvas. I've painted the sides of the canvas, so there is no need to frame, it is ready to hang!
100% of the sale of this painting ($20) will be donated to EFA's charity-of-the-month, the Tranquility Trail Animal Sanctuary! I love to support animal charities and am excited to donate the sale of this painting to this month's charity. I have been an animal welfare supporter for many years and have been bringing stray animals home since I was a child. I currently have two dogs and five cats, most of them are rescues. One of my most exciting volunteer positions was helping save the Gulf Breeze Wayside cats three years ago. There was a colony of nearly 50 feral cats who lived at the Wayside Park in Gulf Breeze, Florida. The city council made the decision to remove all the cats to clean up the park. All of the cats were scheduled to be picked up, taken to the pound and destroyed when a group of concerned citizens got together and over three months were able to capture, vet-check, vaccinate and spay/neuter all of the cats and find them homes. Every single one of the cats was rescued and adopted out! My contribution to this effort was setting up, maintaining and donating the cost of the wayside cats website that helped all of the cats find homes. This was the most rewarding and meaningful volunteer effort I have ever been a part of!

Knit Catnip Mouse in Soft Shades of Blue by Vivalechat's Shop

Knit catnip mouse in soft blue ocean shades. This mouse is knit from acrylic yarn in stripes of soft shades of blue--it reminds me of a watercolor painting! Very sturdy design with tight-knit gauge to prevent the catnip from spilling out. This mouse will last for a very long time! Each mouse is approximately 3.5-4.5 inches long not including tail. I fill with only catnip (no cotton filler or other sort of stuffing) and use Cosmic Catnip (a brand of super-potent catnip available at lots of pet stores).
I donate a third of what I earn on Etsy to imom.org, an organization that fundraises to help individual families receive the vet treatment for their companion animals that they cannot afford on their own.

I Loved a Narwhal by Scarlettbfox's Shop

The narwhal is my favorite sea creature because it is so surreal and dreamlike. How can such a magical looking animal truly exist? I wanted to pay tribute to this beautiful animal with a cheerful, pretty painting. I try to respect and help animals in all that I do. I am a donor to HSUS, the CSRA Humane Society, and Vegan Outreach. In addition to being an active member (and eater) in my local Vegetarian club, I am also a founding member of our brand new, proactive animal rights force in Augusta, GA, called SAVE. I am new to EFA, but I am already in love and look forward to helping the team!

Heart Strings - Urban Sea Glass Pendant by Lolalynn's Shop

This pale green heart shaped pendant is made from "Urban Sea Glass". The term was coined by a New York Times Blog reporter when he talked about finding sea glass on the shores of New York City's East River. I had been making jewelry from glass I had picked up from the river and when he googled "East River Sea Glass" he found me. He interviewed me for his article and I got a nice mention in his blog: http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/11/17/making-jewelry-from-east-river-glass/ Sea glass gathered from the East River is not as smooth and as rounded as glass found in other locations. Unlike other beaches where sand is constantly fine tuning the glass, the East River is lined with mostly pebbles and large rocks. A lot of what I pick up I recycle but I do manage to glean some pieces that make beautiful pieces like "Heart Strings." 50% of the purchase price of the items from my shop are donated to EFA's charity of the month.

Wine bags by Barkingdogblanket's Shop

This wine bag is made from reclaimed fabric. It features surf boards/palm trees shot on a surface, it sort of reminds me of the colors of the sea.
I donate 5 - 10% of my shop and retail sales to a variety of rescue organizations. I also walk and clean kennels at our local hawaiian humane society and Oahu spca. aloha and thank you !

Nautical Star Compass Pendant and Necklace by Theclaypony's Shop

One of the most important things to take with you when you go sailing is a compass. I made this nautical pendant out of polymer clay, and painted it maroon with black filigree. In the center of the pendant is a print of my digital drawing of a Nautical Star Compass, which is sealed inside the pendant with a clear resin half sphere that looks like a bubble. The picture in the center magnifies when you tilt it and look at it from different angles. The pendant is 1 1/2" in diameter, and hangs on a 19" dark brown braided cord, which has a lobster clasp closure. 20% of the sale of this necklace will be donated to the Etsy For Animals (EFA) Charity of the Month.

Day at the beach starfish earrings by kittyanydots' Shop

Starfish earrings + cute polka dot card + organza gift bag = a cute inexpensive gift (including yourself)! Perfect for a summer day at the beach! Earring hooks are nickel free silver plated & charms are lead free tibetan silver. I give a percentage of my shop proceeds (Etsy and PayPal fees not subtracted first) to charity each month. For June I will be helping Berkeley East Bay Humane Society, who lost a large part of their shelter to fire. I am increasing donations for June to 10% of cards and 20% of prints, mirrors & jewelry to help BEBHS rebuild.
